Experiment points to new spin on storage

In an experiment that could bring the computing world closer to an advanced method of data storage, a team of scientists successfully reproduced an image that was digitally encoded and momentarily stored within a liquid crystal molecule.

    I thought so too - its still an experimental technoly. We pobably wont see any products using this type of thing for 10-20 years… if ever.

    “Momentarily” is the key word here. Finding a way to “freeze” the nuclear spin of an atom is not a simple proposition.
