There are also other apps out there that can deal with the iPod file system. (I'm feeling lazy. Google: Oracle of the Internet™ should be able to help you find them easy enough if you're curious.) The non-replaceable battery is another thing all together. You can send your iPod in for servicing to get the battery replaced if it becomes an issue - but personally, I haven't had any problems with mine. Granted, most of the time I'm listening to the iPod during my commute, so it's connected to an <a "href=http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/itripauto/" rel="nofollow">iTrip Auto</a> and drawing power form my car. There are also a couple of after-market iPod battery/disk replacement places I've come across in my online wanderings. Again, consult the Oracle for guidance. That said two major speedbumps still prevent me from buying one. 1. Itunes SW and the ipod file system, 2. non-replaceable battery. I did however buy one for Sarah, and recently my mom.
