I should probably mention this

I am no longer working as a contractor for my current employeer. I was hired as a full time employee and promoted to a brand new position within the group I’m a part of; A position with responsibilities remarkably similar to what I’ve been doing for the last few months, anyway.

The change in emplyment status went into effect Wednesday, although I’m not certain my contracting agency is aware fo that yet.

Sometimes re-orgs are a good thing. 🙂

  1. Hey, that doesn’t sound to bad… Good luck (and more importantly: have fun) in your new old job! 🙂

  2. Yes benefits, and even a signing bonus. (They couldn’t work out how to make the raise retro otherwise, seeing as how I’m technically a new-hire.) I also got an options grant. (MMMMM…. pre-ipo stock options)

This couldn’t have come at a better time. We just got one of our cars paid off, and with some more money coming in, we should be in good shape come September when Ducking is born.

Now, if I could only get back on the day shift…
