Uhm – It’s about 3:00am my time, and after 4 hours, I’m just now getting back online after deciding tonight would be a good night to wipe my computer and re-install the OS.
Couldn’t get the stupid freaking modem to be detected properly… not to mention the 3 or 4 times the system has “forgotten” about other pieces of hardware.

It looks like I have everything mostly under control now. I can get online, and that’s all that really matters. I’ll worry about installing the rest of my essential software tomorrow night.

Oooh – I know: let’s not save a copy of the winzip installer before wiping the system. That way we can download it again like it was for the first time.
Okay – so far that’s the only thing I’ve found that I should have burned to cd first, and didn’t. Not too bad, I guess. Now if only I could find my printer, pda, and joystick driver install disks, and my Neverwinter play disk.
Hooloovoo’s computer sure boots up a lot faster now.
